Celebrating Our 100th Newsletter with Top Stories
Written by Alex Seleznev, MBA, CFP®, CFA | Aug 27, 2025

Well, time really does fly! I can’t believe the summer is almost over…
When I was working on the ideas for one of our newsletters a few weeks ago, I realized we were about to publish our 100th edition.
I have to say, starting a weekly newsletter on retirement planning has been one of the best things I’ve done to share stories and practical ideas with you. I enjoy presenting at seminars and webinars, but the newsletter gives me a unique opportunity to communicate in “real” time.
Just in case you haven’t noticed, I draft every single newsletter myself or with the help of our incredible team at Capital Squared. We don’t use ChatGPT to generate content, rely on generic financial article libraries or outsource this important work outside of the firm. We want you to hear our authentic ideas, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with what we write about.
My goal is for you to finish each newsletter with at least one new and useful takeaway. Most of our material comes directly from our client interactions or the many financial publications we review to stay on top of the latest financial trends. And I do my absolute best to write in a simple and easy to understand manner. Nothing beats directly interacting with our clients or staying in contact with our network, but this newsletter is the next best thing I can think of.
So, today, I wanted to share some of the top articles and stories we’ve shared with our readers. To be specific, I got the most feedback on these topics which is why I think of them as our “top” ideas.
